ABOUT ME
My name is Justin, I\'m 23 and live in Oxford, Ohio. I go to school full time duel majoring in microbiology/premedical studies and nursing. I work only weekends at a local hospital as a tech. I\'ve enjoyed gaming since my first NES till now. WoW has been my first mmorpg which I began playing back in spring of \'05. Before that I played CS frequently and other single player rpgs. I love computers, preferring to build my own. My current computer has a Pentium Core 2 Duo, two 7800s in sli, and 4gigs of ram. I should be building a new one after the holidays. This one is currently liquid cooled and that was a large mistake on my part. You live and learn.
GUILD HISTORY AND RAIDING EXPERIENCE
Initially I played a mage alliance side on Gorefiend till about level 30 when I rerolled with some friends to horde on Firetree. There I leveled a mage to 60 and raided up through BWL in the guild Aftermath. I took a break from the game soon afterward in attempt to rescue my gpa. I returned to the game in December of \'06 to prepare for TBC finding the guild had disbanded long ago and hardly anyone I knew was left. I decided to start fresh and rolled my warlock on Shandris, a TBC release server. There I leveled with a good group of people and we eventually formed the top raiding guild of the server. I ended up an officer at some point due to being one of the few remaining who cared to help run things. Eventually I was promoted to GM because the current GM didn\'t want do it anymore. I lead our guild through all of T5 running things by myself. I lead the raids, did attendance, managed DKP, handled loot, and recruited for the guild. With T5 cleared, I needed a break and no one would step up to help me. So I left, transferring to Dalaran and joined Dark Talisman. The guild had an amazing core of players and especially good healers. We plowed through MH and half of BT in a short amount of time. However, the holidays hit and with them people left. Raiding slowed and it was difficult at times. Things eventually picked back up and we made it through 3/6 SWP with several twin attempts. In that time I became caster lead, being the only caster left from when I joined. Since then I\'ve tried structuring the guild more and attempted to have it run like a finely tuned machine. I cared about my guild mates and wouldn\'t leave them, even though I know I could have more. Post 3.0 we cleared up to Muru till I was removed from the guild during a raid I was leading due to confronting the GM over a consistent mistake he was making. Instead of taking the constructive criticism mistakes are meant to receive, he flaunted his authority and removed me. November would have mark a full year in Dark Talisman.
WHAT I CAN DO FOR SINISTER
I bring a lot to the table and are willing to go the extra proverbial mile. My attendance is damn near perfect. I\'m competent at this game and know how to use appropriate resources. Scripted content should only be difficult the first time. I love to raid and enjoy the time spent with other raiders. I\'m competitive and strive to excel. If I\'m not performing to what the math says I should, I fix it. People laughed at me for completely regemming my gear once to gain one spell damage. I don\'t view that as ridiculous, but as being necessary. The days of 40mans are over and flying under the radar is impossible. If you don\'t give it your all, there\'s someone else that will gladly take your spot and put forth that extra effort. I love the warlock class and will continue to play into WotLK. One could spend all day reading the QQ posts about our dps post 3.0. I\'ll agree, seeing a chicken above me on the meters is discouraging at the moment. Going from one-button god dps to wtfbbq spell rotations has required a lot of adjustment. Shadowbolt spam was excellent for raid leading since I could pay attention to everything else and provide decent dps at the same time. Up to my removal from the guild I raided with a different spec almost each night; 56/0/5, 2/3/56, 0/21/40(Fire), and 0/21/40(Shadow). 0/21/40(Fire) has allowed me to effectively raid lead and still provide decent dps. I will be trying soon a 0/31/30 build getting master demonoligist and 1 point in demonic knowledge, leaving the imp out, and dps as fire. Affliction is finally heading in the right direction, but at this time I feel a destro build is still more viable.
WHY SINISTER?
To begin with, the guild has a solid raiding core whose achievements are impressive. Sinister is able to provide a progressive raiding environment with its focus on clearing content immediately and effectively. Your move to Blackrock is even more appealing to me as I\'m tired of PVE servers. It\'s a well developed server with much competition to fuel aggressive progression. The raid times are perfect and would easily allow me to stay over if on the verge of a progression kill. Ultimately, it will provide an environment conducive to excellence come WotLK.
