I got it running finally. The game itself is not terrible, but they need to focus their attention on client stability and performance.

Maybe I just didn't have the right settings or something, but when I was finally able to get the game to load past the nowgame.exe error junk I wasn't impressed. It was ridiculous trying to run down the weasels/pigs to hit them in slow motion with my newbie pickaxe or sword. Not to mention there was a bunch of dudes just riding around in circles outside where ever I started killing all the naked new people over and over. Pretty silly!

The basic concepts of the game sound great, but I have a feeling it might be best to wait a bit into release before this game is worth the time. They did at least 1 thing right from the start in making a skill cap, unlike df. That was probably one of df's worst mistakes.

combat looks clunky, game looks barren as shit (darkfall). rafe could be right and it could be decent 6 months after release, but dont kid yourself and think it will be populated come release. dont say hey its beta, cause ive done that before (aoc, darkfall). When a company goes into a wide closed beta they think it is nearly time to release and not a whole lot more will go into the game before they get it out there.

Why in the world are these pvp dev's thinking 1st person view is so good =\

Initially there isn't gonna be a NA server. If I play when they release that I will reassess how it has progressed and decide then. I will be honest though the skills and system they have behind the implementation is badass, and a straight throwback to UO. I definitely hope they work out the kinks on the euros and release a polished game on the NA server ;p
