Well, it feels less like macroland than AC or AC2 at least. But ya it sucks that wailing on AFK and/or swimming and spamming spells is the best way to improve one's character skills.

Latest patch took a swing at reducing macro effectiveness; but to the effect of: "sucks even more you didn't get your account weeks ago".

The economist in me says: increase the rewards for *not* macroing. Seriously if the skill gain was decent enough I'd rather level off mobs anyway. But I would have to single handedly genocide the entire goblin population before I'd have enough weapon skill to move on to tougher mobs!

No one macro'd in AC until like the game was dead.
